We will boldly paint the festival area with colours, flavours, and boundless excitement for young and old.

Vendor applications are now open, and we are calling on all budding entrepreneurs to seize this fantastic opportunity and apply for 2024's thrilling extravaganza!

The Vrystaat Art Festival's Arts Market isn't just a cornerstone of the festival; it's a booming economic powerhouse for the entire Free State! With over 400 stalls brimming with handcrafted wonders, mouthwatering food, and the finest brews, all intertwined with the heartbeat of various community groups and lekker local talent.

When will the application form for 2024 be available?

From October 23rd, 2024.

What is the administration fee in 2024? And if I must cancel, can I get a refund?

The admin fee for 2024 is R350, and it is non-refundable. However, your stall fee is refundable before May 17th 2024. If you have to cancel after that date, the festival will deduct a certain percentage. (See the Vendor Information Form).

Can I apply for the same space as in 2023?

Yes, but it works on a first come first serve basis. Who ever pays their stall fee first will have priority.

What criteria will determine the selection of stalls ?

Everyone is welcome to apply, but we have a limited number of food and jewelry stalls. These stalls will be chosen based on their uniqueness, with a preference for handcrafted items produced in South Africa to ensure a diverse selection of products and flavours.

Where are the most 'feet' (possible customers)?

The most feet are in the area which is rated Top Category.

What number of indoor exhibition spaces are available?

In the Callie Human Hall are approximately 55 stalls of 3mx3m, and in the Exam rooms, 90 stalls.

Are the hostel residences open for accommodation during the 2024 festival?

Do pensioners get a discount?

Exhibitors over the age of 60 receive a 10% discount on stand rental upon showing identification. This discount is only valid if the pensioner who applied for the stall will be at the stall for the Festival's duration.
When will the application form for 2023 be available?
From January 16th, 2023.

What is the administration fee in 2023? And if I must cancel, can I get a refund?
The admin fee for 2023 is R350, and it is non-refundable. However, your stall fee is refundable before June 10th 2023. If you have to cancel after that date, the festival will deduct a certain percentage. (See the Vendor Information Form).

Can I apply for the same space as in 2019?
No, after the significant renovation of the UFS gardens, we will no longer be able to use the old site. The good news is, after two markets last year, the general feeling was that the new layout works even better.
